The term Kalyana Mitta is a Pali word meaning "spiritual friend". A Kalyana Mitta group is a group of people who are coming together around a particular topic, gender, age group or common experience to inquire more deeply as a group, share experiences and practice together. A Kalyana Mitta Group is generally peer-led with facilitators chosen by the group; and the content and tone of the group set by group consensus. Kalyana Mitta groups are mentored by a member of the Dharma Council.
